POST 9 (WEEK 12): CHANGES TO MY STUDY PROGRAMME

I consider that carreer architecture in this faculty is very intense, there is a lot of cases of students that sleep little or stay up late for do project work. I undestrand that the university is like this, but I do not think that it is the correct way, in a moment becomes unhealthy, so maybe the carreer could be extended for one more year, to teach the same but more time. I also think that being such a visual carreer, we need to go out into the land, tour the city, see buildings and thus have classes in the open air, not just see photos in the classroom. We sloud visit projects under construction, to see the process live and how it really is, thus having a more direct approach to architecture. I also think that there could be optional workshops to reinforce some critical courses and others to teach digital representation programs, because we must always learn on our own. I have felt the degree is quite expensive in relation to the materials that they ask us to make models, I think that the university should pay that since the value of the fee that we pay is already quite high. At the infrastructure level, I think we need better conditions, the classrooms are freezing in winter, there are very few green areas, there is no casino to be able to eat, sometimes you have to eat on the floor. I hope that the university can improve all these problems.

  1. Absolutely right about materials!!!! I always spend too much money on the workshop branch, it's frustrating to spend so much every week.

  3. For a person who studied architecture and is now studying geography, I agree with you, I think your career is so unhealthy, I hope they change their terrible methods
